Chapter 02 · Practice

A studio of one,
by intention.

I'm Jeffrey — a UX/UI Engineer who believes the best interfaces are the ones you stop noticing. For nearly a decade I've worked with founders, product teams and agencies to translate ambiguous problems into clear, usable, beautifully built digital products.

My practice sits between two disciplines that are too often kept apart. I think like a designer — about hierarchy, rhythm, intent, edge cases. I build like an engineer — semantic markup, scalable SCSS architectures, accessible components, and a respect for the medium.

The handoff doesn't exist when one person owns both ends. That's the whole proposition.

Currently working with clients across the United States, European Union, Australia and Southeast Asia. Open to selected long-form engagements from Q3 onward.

Chapter 03 · Capabilities

What I do, specifically.

I cover the territory between strategy and ship. Everything below is something I've practiced on real, in-production work.

01 UX Strategy Discovery, user flows, wireframing, information architecture and the careful art of saying no to features that don't earn their place. FIGMA · MIRO · WHIMSICAL
02 UI & Visual Design Editorial, considered interface design with a typographic backbone. Marketing sites, web apps, product surfaces. FIGMA · ADOBE CC
03 Design Systems Token architectures, component libraries, contribution models, and design–engineering parity that survives team growth. FIGMA TOKENS · STORYBOOK
04 Front-end Engineering Semantic, performant, accessible front-end. Modern stacks, but also the rare ability to make legacy stacks behave themselves. HTML · SCSS · JS · GSAP
05 Responsive Implementation Fluid type, container queries, considered breakpoints, and interfaces that earn the same trust on a 360px screen as a 24″ display. CSS GRID · FLEX · CONTAINER Q
06 User Flows From onboarding to checkout to dashboards — mapping the path a user actually takes, not the one we wish they would. FIGJAM · LUCIDCHART
07 WordPress & Elementor Custom themes, block development and editorial workflows that make non-technical teams genuinely productive. WP · ACF · ELEMENTOR · PHP
08 Motion & Interaction Restrained, intentional motion. Scroll choreography, page transitions, and micro-interactions that earn their CPU. GSAP · ALPINE · LENIS

The Problem

Filipino families abroad were forced to coordinate medical care for their parents back home through a tangle of Facebook Messenger threads, phone calls, and second-hand promises. The existing telemedicine apps were built for clinicians, not for the adult child trying to book a consultation from Dubai at 2am.

The Approach

We rebuilt the platform around a single user: the worried adult child. One question at a time. Specialty, language, location, time. Calm typography, generous spacing, no marketing-speak — the design was the assurance. I led discovery, designed the system in Figma, then implemented the entire customer-facing front-end in Next.js with a token-driven Tailwind setup.

The Result

Booking time fell from a 14-minute average to under 90 seconds. The product cleared a 96% Lighthouse accessibility score on every shipped page. More importantly, the team now has a design system they can extend without asking permission — which is what design systems are actually for.

Chapter 06 · Recognition

In other people's words.

Jeffrey delivers as promised, every time. He thinks at the level of a senior product designer and ships at the level of a senior engineer — that combination is genuinely rare.
Polina M. · Founder, agency partner — AU
Excellent, quick, and detail-driven. Even after delivery he stayed engaged through small revisions without us asking. We've put him on every WordPress build since.
Richard M. · Studio Director — UK
The kind of contractor who pushes back when he should and agrees when he should. Our design system tripled in coverage the quarter Jeffrey joined.
